1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the
reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different
from your expectations?
Participating in an entrepreneurship class
as revealed to me the many aspects of creating a business. Although, finances
are part of a creating a business, I never put into perspective that applying entrepreneurship
principles must be incorporated with profitability and margins. Where a company
stands is extremely important when deciding paths for products, market shares,
and any additional inventory that would like to be added to a product line.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading
that was confusing to you.
I was surprised to learn about pro-forma’s
during this chapter of business finance. I have yet to be introduced to
pro-forma’s in the few years I have taken financial courses.
3) If you were able to ask two questions
to the author, what would you ask? Why?
Is their other core financial principles
that would be present in the main stages of creating a brand?
Is the information provided in this chapter
safe to use when conducting any organization decisions?
4) Was there anything you think the author was
wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
I did agree with the authors perspectives on
the over chapter. It was definitely nice to read how a professional addresses
and directs a business from such a perspective.
