Week 8 - Reading Reflection

1)     What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
It is crazy to think about opening a business, it can be very overwhelming. I never knew there were so many outlets of marketing especially now. I remember when google didn’t exist, or when phone calls could not be picked up while you were searching the web because you would interfere with the connection. There are so many social media outlets, entrepreneurs will need a specialist just to address the many marketing aspects. Competition is up and it is due to the advancement in technology. As time goes on and technology evolves, business operations will become more tedious and complex? So what is the real price of opening a business?
2)   Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
What I had trouble understanding is the marketing process. Why do entrepreneurs have different focuses shouldn’t all aspects be covered if business is a risk it itself.
3)    If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
If I was able to ask the author a question, I’d address importance. How important does the author think that addressing this points makes an entrepreneur successful?
4)    Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?

Truly, I was extremely intrigued by the information provided, it was an analysis well in depth of business oriented perspectives.
