FoodRX Customer Interviews

A food provider specializing in unique assortments of health friendly meals, serving customers who have difficulty eating particular foods due to medical restrictions. There have been many findings in foods that have had doctors change their angles on remedies. FoodRX is a business with heart and soul, working along side nutritionist, medical specialists, and agriculture professional that can educate FoodRX on new nature foods. Passion drives FoodRX. Therefore, FoodRX is one of a kind, a staple that will help the community.
Interviewing strategy.
What questions do you intend on asking?
I want genuine feedback and real constructive criticism. I would love to think that this idea could be successful.
What could possibly effect my target market in a negative way?
How could you re-structure the business plan?
What might I add to business plan that may develop my product further?
If you had any medical restrictions how willing would you be to use this product and services?
Do you have any family members or close family friends that struggle with dietary restrictions?
I interviewed 2 economics because of their knowledge on demand, supply, costs, and the factors that effect the market and it fluctuations. I would move on to interviewing an entrepreneur with more than 10 years’ experience. I came across an individual struggles with the same or similar circumstances, she was a perfect interviewee. The last person I interviewed was a medical specialist with a background in gastroenterology.
Reflect on what you learned.
The Economist #1:
I learned that in order from this individual that in order to see growth I should plan on a more direct target market, researching demographics and psychographics.
The Economist #2:
I learned that I business should be objective. Passion is different than having an idea close to your heart. Business should be able to be spoken about without any feelings being hurt, at the end of the day feedback serves a purpose for an entrepreneur, a different frame to evaluate.
The Entrepreneur #3:
“Take a step back, a business has a lot of tweaks”. I learned that an action plan, most of all, needs action. A business has more prospects than just that of basic business concept, like employees, budgets, and managerial formatting.
Struggling Individual:
I had great feedback from this individual. She thought that the idea would be a great innovative start-up. Struggling with Crohn’s Disease is difficult, say expressed to me and the last thing she wants to do at the end of the day is take the time to create a meal that is not harmful to her condition and that is tasty.
Medical Professional:
The doctor I interviewed specialized in gastroenterology. He was interested in hearing the idea, although he expressed to me how difficult it was to work with patients that have such a high sensitivity to foods. He explained to me other concerns with liabilities and food allergies that I was not aware of prior to putting together the idea.

I was surprised most of the positive reactions I received from the 5 individuals I chose to interview. I would have to say that I enjoyed all the interviews however I was most impressed by the entrepreneur. She did open my eyes to what success looks like.

  2. Hello Aviana,

I enjoyed reading your post. Your idea is excellent! I think it is a great idea to have a local healthy food provider. People are not educated enough to know what is good for their body and what is not. Your idea of implementing heathy food in society will not only educate people, but also change the lives of many. Your questions are detailed enough to get some great feedback from your potential customers. This feedback will be a great advantage to you. Thank you for caring about the people around you.
